The K2056R is one of the first meters designed to meet international safety standard IEC 61010-1 CAT IV 600V to meet the demands for measuring voltage and current spikes. As electrical distribution systems become more complex, the chances of voltage spikes are always increasing, and these spikes are superimposed to normal mains voltage waveform. The instrument is not purposely designed to withstand these high voltage spikes, it will blow and a potential arc blast can create a life threatening situation for the end user. The K2056R is a digital clamp meter with the capability to read current up to 1000A AC/DC. The K2056R model features the ability to utilize True RMS measurements, providing greater accuracy on non-sinusoidal waveforms, thus useful for power distribution companies, power utilities and maintenance fields.
